NGR's purpose was to have a significant increase in South East Queensland's train fleet, with an expectation to design and construct 75 trains. OP2 supported this complex project by helping manage the design and delivery of new generation rollingstock within a short timeframe and coordinate a complex PPP setup involving global teams and interfaces. In delivering this project successfully, OP2 was able to achieve key milestones ahead of contractual baseline, such as depot completion. This project has been recognised as "Best in Class" Program execution.

The Melbourne Metro Tunnels and Stations PPP is a landmark project, which aims to construct 9km twin rails and 5 new underground stations within the Melbourne CBD region. On this major project, OP2 was required to review the scope of work against an challenging schedule and manage complex PPP and Alliance setups. We overcame complex issues through developing and supporting internal and external governance structures, an Integrated Plan and a Risk Management setup that ensured strong interfaces and optimised end-to-end delivery.

Sydney Metro is aimed at extending metro services in Sydney’s northwest area, with construction of a 30 km rail line and new stations. OP2 supported by providing project assessment and advise in regards to Interface Management between project contractor and integrator including Risk Program Analysis, Program Float Strategy and support for the core project team, with the implementation of associated corrective actions.

Rail Infrastructure Complex Project
The WestConnex project will see the construction of a 33km road that connects the South West and Western parts of Sydney with Sydney CBD, Airport and Port Botany precincts as a way of easing traffic congestion and long travel times. OP2 Australia supported the client in the submission of a complex project tender, by conducting an expert review that helped identify quality and compliance deficiencies and also establish an improvement plan that reduced contractual and financial exposure. The provision of our services allowed the client to achieve an on-time delivery of a compliant program for the tender submission.
